Tattoo artist charged with murder
Thirty-three-year-old tattoo artist Nickoy Morgan, otherwise called 'Criminal', 'Hot Rice' and 'Tattoo', has been charged with murder following the shooting death of a man at the intersection of Majesty Gardens and New Road, Kingston 11 on June 29.
He has also been charged with possession of prohibited weapon, possession of prohibited ammunition, using a firearm to commit a felony and wounding with intent. The deceased has been identified as 58-year-old vendor Michael Sinclair, otherwise called 'Fruits Man', of Majesty Gardens. Reports from the Hunts Bay police are that at 7:25 p.m., Morgan, armed with a handgun, drove up, alighted from a motor vehicle and opened gunfire at Sinclair and another man. After the shooting subsided, it was discovered that both men received gunshot wounds. They were transported to hospital, where Sinclair was pronounced dead.
Following an investigation, Morgan was taken into custody during an operation. He was charged on Monday after a question and answer session in the presence of his attorney. A court date is being finalised for him.
