SERHA announces closure of health centres

The South East Regional Health Authority (SERHA) is advising the public that several health centres in Kingston and St Andrew will be temporarily closed on Wednesday to facilitate their use as polling stations in the general election.

This is in addition to the previously announced closure of the The Windward Road, Harbour View, Edna Manley, Denham Town, Olympic Gardens, Seaview Gardens and Lawrence Tavern health centres will all be closed. SERHA also noted that health centres will be used as polling stations in St Catherine and St Thomas. They are the Bartons and Riversdale centres in St Catherine, and the Llandewey Health Centre in St Thomas.

SERHA reminded members of the public to reschedule all appointments and encouraged them to seek medical care at other health facilities during the period. Regular services at the health centres are expected to resume on Thursday.
