St John's Road man accused of brandishing gun during dispute remanded
A man accused of pulling a gun on another man following a disagreement in a lane off St John's Road in Spanish Town, St Catherine is to remain behind bars.
Dennis Stone, 23, a labourer of St John's Road, is charged with possession of a prohibited weapon and assault at common law.
Stone was ordered remanded by Senior Parish Court Judge Yvette Wentworth-Miller when he appeared before the St Catherine Parish Court today.
His next court date is September 19, at which time he is to appear before the Gun Court.
Allegations are that about 5:30 p.m. on August 18, Stone confronted the complainant in a lane off St John's Road.
He allegedly brandished a gun and pointed it at the complainant, who managed to flee on a bicycle and reported the matter to the police.
An investigation was launched, which resulted in Stone's arrest.
He was subsequently pointed out during an identification parade and was charged as a result.
