Police list 19 people as wanted for serious crimes
The Jamaica Constabulary Force has launched an intensive search for 19 individuals wanted for a range of serious and violent crimes, including murder, assault and robbery.
The individuals are being urged to turn themselves in immediately.
The police say the individuals listed are considered key players in criminal activities across the island and they have intensified their efforts to locate and apprehend them.
The wanted persons are:
- Delano Leslie, otherwise called 'Crazy' and 'Brown Man', of Claremont, Hanover. He is wanted for murder.
- Devar Hodges, otherwise called 'Skeddo' and 'Blackhead', of Browns Town, St. Ann. He is wanted for wounding with intent.
- Derrick Johnson, otherwise called 'Byron Finne' and 'President Bush', of Alexander Road, Kingston 13 and 7th Street in Greenwich Town, Kingston. He is wanted for murder.
- Tavarse Brown, otherwise called 'Chops' and 'Redman', of Arnold Road, Kingston 4. He is wanted for murder.
- Courtney Sands, otherwise called 'Joshua', of Stephen Street, Kingston 4. He is wanted for murder.
- Desmond Kelly, otherwise called 'Chukku' of Narine Lane, Old Harbour Bay in St Catherine and Marlie Acres, Old Harbour, St. Catherine. He is wanted for shooting with
intent.
- Janoi Burch of Gulf, Gregory Park in St. Catherine. He is wanted for shooting with intent.
- Panif Bloomfield, otherwise called 'Chang', of Buzz Rock, Effortville, Clarendon. He is wanted for robbery with aggravation and shooting with intent.
- Rayon Plummer, otherwise called 'Killy Killy', of Airy Castle, Stony Hill in St Andrew. He is wanted for shooting with intent.
- Leonardo Campbell, otherwise called 'Lenny', of Stephen Street, Allman Town, Kingston 4 and Bull Bay in Kingston. He is wanted for murder.
- Anteneil Reynolds, otherwise called 'Son Son', of Marlborough Avenue, New Havens, Kingston 20. He is wanted for murder.
- Dwight Miller, otherwise called 'Glasses' and 'Four Eye', of South Anderson Crescent and Payne Land in Kingston. He is wanted for murder.
- Courtney Ashley, otherwise called 'Blood Stain', 'Alien' and 'Biggs', of Spanish Town Road, Kingston. He is wanted for murder.
- Denardo James, otherwise called 'Den Den', of Cajan Corner, Central Village, St Catherine. He is wanted for murder.
- Anthony Williams, otherwise called 'Intra Tech' and 'Pops', of Dumphries Street, Chestnut Lane, Milk Lane and Allman Town, all in Kingston. He is wanted for escaping
custody.
- Effin Clarke, otherwise called 'Elf', of Bray Street, Kingston 16 and Poorman's Corner, St Thomas. He is wanted for assault occasioning grievous bodily harm.
- Junior Creary, otherwise called 'Whopper', of Simpson Road, Kingston 2. Murder (five counts) and escaping custody.
- Kemar Matthews, otherwise called 'Bibi' and 'Bitta', of Steer Town, Rose Hall and Dam Head, all in St Ann and Meggie Top, Salt Spring in St James.
- Jason Campbell, otherwise called 'Liz', of Penn Street, Kingston 12. He is wanted for murder.
The police are urging the public to share information regarding the whereabouts of these individuals. They say all information will be treated with strict confidentiality.
The public is reminded that it is against the law to harbour or assist wanted persons and anyone found doing so will face prosecution.
Anyone knowing the whereabouts of these men is urged to call the Criminal Investigations Branch (CIB) at 876-929-9256, Crime Stop at 311, the National Intelligence Bureau at 811, Police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station.
