Suspected burglar held by residents
A carpenter will have to answer to burglary charges following an incident on Pagan Drive in St Elizabeth on August 22.
He has been identified as 35-year-old Neco Edwards, of Rice Piece district in Lacovia. Reports from the Santa Cruz police are that at 5 a.m., the complainant securely locked her house and went to bed. Moments later, Edwards allegedly forced open a window leading to the living room and unlawfully entered the house. The complainant was awakened and went to the kitchen, where she saw Edwards inside her house. He ran from the dwelling, but an alarm was raised, and Edwards was apprehended by residents. He was later handed over to the police, questioned, and subsequently charged.
His court date is being finalised.
