Thug Famous has big plans for ‘Crazy Life’

'Crazy Life' is the title of the song that up-and-coming dancehall artiste Thug Famous is hoping will turn him into a household name. The entertainer was in an upbeat mood when he visited THE STAR offices to speak about his song and his musical plans.

"Da song here already a dominate the place so mi a continue to push it so it reach the highest peak," Thug Famous told THE STAR.

" Crazy Life is a song about the ladies. It is about sex between two consenting adults. People a gravitate toward it because sex is a beautiful ting when it is done with the right person. Oonu just watch how dis a guh climb to number one," the singjay vowed.

A product of Grants Pen, St Andrew, Thug Famous says he has always had a passion for music and decided to enter the dancehall arena following much encouragement from his loved ones.

Thug Famous shared that he got his moniker "from di streets". It is actually his third name, having first called himself 'Ravel', which he subsequently ditched in favour of 'Jah Max'.

"People tell mi seh the name 'Ravel' wasn't a household name. Mi change it to Jah Max but afterwards mi a seh dat Jah Max sound kinda Rastaish and mi wah crossover in all different genres. Mi fren and mi family suggest Thug Famous, so mi just work with it," he said.

"Mi born with a musical gift suh, when mi reach nine, mi start perform pon some big stage show with a lot of big talent like Mavado. And mi can tell yuh seh, as a little youth, a mi get the most forward when mi a perform with dem big giant deh. When mi done perform, people have to build up back dem fence because it beat down flat. It was a very good feeling, man," Thug Famous added.

With his musical sight set beyond the shores of Jamaica, the entertainer is eyeing the Spanish market as one that he can possibly tap into with great success.

"I got song for every single audience ... even the Spanish ones. I speak a little Spanish, so I even record a song in part Spanish. I am different and mi badda dan 90 per cent of these artistes because my flow unique and my lyrics are tight. Music forward to mi naturally ... just like how di girls dem love mi naturally, suh mi no have to force it. Mi just want mi fans dem to look out a lot of big collaborations because mi a put in the work with Maddawg Entertainment," he said.

Thug Famous is known for other songs like Bad Gyal, Test, Hard Cry, Vice Grip and Soldier.
