Approach Sunday’s Reggae 6 opener with caution

START Sunday's Reggae 6 with caution, using XYLOPHONIC STEEL and MISS LYNTON in the six-furlong contest for five-year-olds, non-winners of three races.

An unpredictable bunch with a habit of turning tables on each other without winning, speed should be key, especially with XYLOPHONIC STEEL and MISS LYNTON being drawn at post-positions one and two, respectively, ground-saving stalls on the round course.

Close the Reggae 6 without fear by banking SLAM SHARP and HAZEL NUT in races five and six, respectively. SLAM SHARP chased BIG LA before losing second to MODERN MONARCH at five and a half furlongs on October 4, form which should topple an average bunch.

HAZELNUT is out for her fourth run in a month since returning from a long lay-up, a third-place finish behind BURNING HEDGE in last year's Jamaica Two-Year-Old Stakes. She lost in a blanket finish last week Saturday, finishing third behind STAR QUEST and I'M OUTSTANDING at six furlongs.
