Cheif Commercial Officer (CCO) of CVM TV Carlo Redwood announcing details during the launch of the ISSA Manning and daCosta Cup football competitions at the Summit hotel last night.

Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of CVM TV, Carlo Redwood, promised that their coverage of the 2025 ISSA schoolboy football season will be a fully interactive and fulsome experience for both players and fans.

Sportsmax, which closed down recently, had the broadcasting rights for the very popular local competition.

Redwood said they are excited to take up the mantle and will take schoolboy football coverage to new levels.

Redwood pointed out that apart from showing the most games ever in a single season, they will promote rivalries, engage and interact with fans, plus host exciting schoolboy football programmes on air.

"CVM is the home of football. We have done World Cups, we have done Copa (America) and this year we wanted to make a significant statement again in schoolboy football," Redwood told the audience at the launch at the Summit hotel last night.

"We will be carrying the most live games in the history of schoolboy football, over 80 games. So our football fans will be able to watch a wide range of group matches and watch teams from all over the country, not just Kingston and Montego Bay. They can support and watch their teams."

Fans will also be able to view games free-to-air on CVM TV, CVM Plus and CVM's website (www.cvmtv.com) and YouTube.

"The important thing was how we reach maximum football fans across diaspora, across Jamaica and not only in the home of football fans, but while they were on the go," he continued.

"We are excited that we will carry so much quality football to so many fans, whatever they are doing. So whether they're on the go or at home they can watch on CVM."

He added that they want to work with ISSA to ensure that football fans are totally engaged throughout the season and they will be promoting rivalries and internal competitions in schools.

"We will be promoting rivalry weekends, rivalries all over the country; Manning Cup, daCosta Cup, big rivalries, small rivalries are all over, and we are going to make sure we promote that and get the fans out to enjoy those rivalries because they are huge matchups and we are excited to see them on CVM TV," he said.

"We will have a weekly high school football show. We have not had that in Jamaica before. We are excited to have it hosted by Jordan Forte, and it's really just about everything football during the week.

"The biggest goals, what's happening in schools, the gossip in the schools, everything going on in schoolboy football. We had to create a show to carry that type of content because there is so much if it. So we hope people tune in every Thursday to 'High School Pitch Side', it's going to be exciting," Redwood stated.
