Dunoon Park Technical's Habbie Mohammed was a standout in their schoolboy Manning Cup match against Haile Selassie on Thursday, with his ball control and burst of pace being a force to be reckoned with.

However, collectively, Haile Selassie handled what could have been a one-man wrecking show, as the Jahmai Pettigrew-coached Dunoon lost the match 2-0, and the soft-spoken Mohammed was precise on their way forward.

"We have to work harder in training and be stronger on the ball in the next match. We also have to improve on making better passes as a team," Mohammed shared.

Mohammed revealed that he draws inspiration from Brazilian star player Neymar and former Kingston College representative Dujuan 'Whisper' Richards.

"I idolise both Neymar and 'Whisper'. From my childhood days, I've been watching Neymar. I love his skills and creativity. Brazil is my favourite international team.

"For 'Whisper' now, I believe we play the same way as we both have a strong left foot and can dribble at speed," he added.

Mohammed added that he ensured he journeyed to the National Stadium recently to watch Richards representing Jamaica against both Honduras and Haiti.

"I recently watched his games at the stadium and watched him at Manning Cup last season. What impresses me the most about him is the way he dribbles and the goals he scores. It's a great feeling watching him, and I believe I can learn a lot from watching him play," Mohammed voiced.
