St Mary woman cause of death unknown

The St Mary police are yet to determine the cause of death of a woman, whose body was found in bushes in the community of Jacks River in the parish on Wednesday.

The body has since been identified as that of 56-year-old Annmarie Henderson of a Jacks River address.

According to a report from the police, shortly after 4 p.m. Wednesday, a passer-by stumbled upon the partially nude body of the woman in a bushy area and raised an alarm. 

The police were alerted and upon their arrival noted that Henderson’s body was clad only in underwear. 

The police also conducted a search of the area, however, no clues were found.

Meantime, the community of Jacks River remains in shock over the death of Henderson, who is described as kind-hearted, well loved, and well known.

“We just cannot believe that anyone would want to hurt such a loving and caring person, who was quite harmless, “said a resident, who gave her name as Carol Brown.

Henderson was reportedly last seen dancing at a party in the community last week Friday night by friends and other partygoers.
